摘要: Abstract A systematic approach to assess the fate of selected pharmaceuticals (carbamazepine, naproxen, diclofenac, clofibric acid and caffeine) in hydroponic mesocosms is described. The overall objective was determine kinetics depletion (from solution) plant uptake for these compounds planted with S. validus growing hydroponically. potential translocation from roots shoots also assessed. After 21 days incubation, nearly all caffeine, naproxen diclofenac were eliminated solution, whereas carbamazepine recalcitrant both photodegradation biodegradation. fact that BAFs greater than 5, while caffeine less implied latter two although biodegradation, still had relatively high uptake. Naproxen sensitive (30–42%) biodegradation (>50%), particularly (>70%) alone. No significant correlations ( p  > 0.05) found between rate constants or tissue levels either log K ow D .
