摘要: In a forensic investigation, the analysis of earth materials such as sediments and soils have been used evidence at court law, relying on study properties color, particle size distribution mineral identification, among others. addition, organic composition is particular value, since these can be complementary independent to inorganic component. To investigate usefulness indicators in sediment characterization discrimination, seventy-seven samples were collected during period one year two river beaches located southern bank Douro River estuary North Portugal. Isotopes total carbon, pollen plant wax-marker analyses performed. both beaches, an increase matter concentrations was noticeable, moving landward, related with higher cover associated material. The results obtained showed that combination all techniques adopted clear discrimination between from also differentiation relation distance beaches. show seasonality not determining factor for times considered. effects time marked.
