摘要: Strong interfacial bonding and homogenous dispersion have been found to be necessary conditions take full advantage of the extraordinary properties nanotubes for reinforcement composites. We developed a fully integrated nanotube composite material through use functionalized single-walled carbon (SWNTs). The functionalization was performed via reaction terminal diamines with alkylcarboxyl groups attached SWNTs in course dicarboxylic acid acyl peroxide treatment. Nanotube-reinforced epoxy polymer composites were prepared by dissolving organic solvent followed mixing resin curing agent. In this hybrid system, are covalently into matrix become part crosslinked structure rather than just separate component. Results demonstrated dramatic enhancement mechanical an material, example, 30–70 % increase ultimate strength modulus addition only small quantities (1–4 wt.-%) SWNTs. nanotube-reinforced also exhibited increased strain failure, which suggests higher toughness.
