摘要: Abstract: The significant and reciprocal link between Terrorism News Media reportage was identified in the 1990s by convergence of security media studies (Picard, 1993). Working tradition content analysis early examined way framed major news accounts with implications for Huntington-Fukuyama hypothesis (Nacos, 2002). However these mainly pre-dated both War on Terror rise Internet as a (political) source. This paper reinvigorates this framing research examining key frames over time online via software-assisted mapping. Key are environment under George W. Bush administration (2005) current Barak Hussein Obama (2009). resulting mapping allows comparative frames, such "insurgent" have changed (if at all) most stories freely available online. comparison contributes to understanding potential shift from rhetoric "clash civilizations" towards discourse networks "dignity difference" rendering visible shifts associated that arguably necessary advancement new paradigm.
