摘要: A self-started harmonic mode-locking of a hybrid weak-resonant-cavity Fabry–Perot laser diode and fiber ring link is demonstrated to serve as pulsed optical for future 10 Gb s−1 RZ data transmission. Beginning with the injection-locking rate equation describing optoelectronic oscillator structure, pulsewidth formula in active theory modified illuminates shortening function feedback ratio microwave power gain. The narrower higher injection gain because saturation increase modulation depth. lowest jitter pulse train are 0.9 ps 20 ps, respectively. With gain, SNR ER improved up 10.2 dB 13.8 dB, respectively, due enhancement peak elimination residual carrier. Under optimized operation condition, carrier can be externally encoded at Gbit/s RZ-OOK
