Isolated hepatic tuberculosis: report of five cases and review of the literature

摘要: Tuberculosis is one of the most common and well-described infectious diseases, with a worldwide distribution vast spectrum clinical manifestations. Involvement liver alone by tuberculosis is, however, uncommon. It usually presents as protracted illness frequently associated jaundice hepatomegaly. can, therefore, mimic primary or metastatic malignancies. We report five cases isolated hepatic tuberculosis, emphasizing importance obtaining tissue diagnosis in all subjects suspicious lesions to avoid missing uncommon but curable tuberculosis.
