Facile fabrication of moisture resistance and thermally stable SrGa2S4:Eu2+ phosphor-in-glass microcubes for white LED

摘要: Abstract SrGa2S4:Eu2+ phosphor known for its moisture sensitivity was successfully fabricated into white light-emitting device (WLED) with enhanced and thermal stability by the dicing of phosphor-in-glass (PiG) plate. Sulfide PiG plates were diced 100×100 μm cubes which showed resistance due to high resistivity glass-based encapsulant design microcube. Moisture test revealed that 95% emission intensity retained sulfide microcubes compared 88% powder even after 48 h. The WLED under 450 nm GaN LED chip CIE coordinates (0.39, 0.39) CRI 85 operating current 40 mA conformal packaging applications.
