摘要: Alcoholism is a multifactorial disease of unclear molecular underpinnings. Currently, we are witnessing major shift in our understanding the functional elements genome, which could help us to discover novel insights into nature alcoholism. In humans, vast majority genome encodes non-protein-coding DNA with function. Recent research has started unveil this mystery by describing relevance microRNAs, and examining genes regulated DNA. Here, I describe alcohol regulation microRNAs provide examples that control expression alcohol-relevant genes. Emphasis put on potential explaining polygenic alcoholism prospects microRNA future directions burgeoning field.
