摘要: In certain gastropod mollusks, the central neurons VD1 and RPD2 express a distinct peptide, so-called VD1/RPD2 α1-neuropeptide. order to test whether this peptide is also present in complex cephalopod nervous system (CNS), we investigated several octopod squid species. adult decapod Idiosepius notoides α1-neuropeptide expressed throughout CNS, with exception of vertical lobe superior inferior frontal lobes, by very few immunoreactive elements. Immunoreactive cell somata are particularly abundant brain lobes associated organs unique cephalopods such as subvertical, optic, peduncle, olfactory lobes. The posterior basal house another large group somata. notoides, first organ, while Octopus vulgaris it detected lobe. prehatchlings sepiolid Euprymna scolopes well squids Sepioteuthis australis Loligo vulgaris, periesophageal subesophageal mass. Prehatchlings L. wide parts including expression developing CNS does not appear be evolutionarily conserved across various taxa investigated. Strong different I. prehatching suggests putative role neurotransmitter or neuromodulator these species; however, electrophysiological evidence still missing.
