摘要: In some countries Pb-containing shotgun pellets have become one of the sources soil contamination in shooting range areas. Pb from eight ranges central Sweden were mineralogically analysed and results show that when come into contact with soil, about 10% them are decomposed transformed secondary lead minerals as encrustations. The encrustation consists two concentric rims: a 50 to 150 μm wide outer rim hydrocerussite (Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2) 10 30 inner-rim massicot (PbO). Anglesite (PbSO4) occurs locally inner rim. growing relationship between mineral phases suggests replacement took place. podzols studied favorable for formation carbonate. Lead carbonate provides effective controls on retention upper layers.
