摘要: Correia elements are a prominent feature of all four Neisseria genome sequences. We report an in silico analysis the structure and genomic distribution these some preliminary biochemical data. fall into major families, distinguished by 50 bp internal deletion five point mutations. The resemble transposon with 25 inverted repeats TA duplication at target site. Within element there is functional integration host factor binding essentially random except for small Correia-less regions apparently acquired horizontal transfer. Phylogenetic suggests that their presence predates divergence meningitidis gonorrhoeae.
