摘要: Objective: the aim of this study is to evaluate change in length hospital stay postoperatively for Total Knee Arthroplasty after using femoral and sciatic nerve block. Materials methods: medical records 287 patients were evaluated, taking into account number hours admission, percentage reason re-hospitalization within 30 days, as well associated complications. All divided two groups according or not whether they admitted ICU not. During years 2009 2010, isolated spinal anesthesia was method used procedure. From 2011 on, blocking introduced. Results: between 2012, average ranged from 74 75.2 2010. The 56.52 53.72 all group who did remain postoperatively. In same period, among those that needed 138.7 2009, 90.25 79.8 2011, 52.91 2012. rate 0%, while 3.44% 1%, respectively. Conclusion: study, use total knee arthroplasty allowed significant reduction stay.
