摘要: Like many other countries around the world, Turkey has faced several challenges in expanding higher education (HE) opportunities to masses. Trying meet ever-growing demand for HE, implemented a bold expansion plan by establishing 51 public universities (PUs) after 2006, mostly less-developed regions of country. This study aims reveal new PUs and shed light on how these might be overcome. Based interviews with 12 rectors who have served at recently established Turkey, findings this revealed various academic non-academic challenges.
