摘要: Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the principal inhibitory neurotransmitter playing a key role in anxiety and depression disorders mammals. Recent studies revealed that members of gut microbiota are able to produce GABA modulating gut-brain axis response. Among human microbiota, bifidobacteria well known establish many metabolic physiologic interactions with host. In this study, we performed genome analyses more than 1,000 bifidobacterial strains publicly available revealing Bifidobacterium adolescentis taxon might represent model producer gastrointestinal tract. Moreover, silico screening human/animal metagenomic datasets showed an intriguing association/correlation between B. load mental such as anxiety. Interestingly, vitro 82 allowed identifying two high producers, i.e. PRL2019 HD17T2H, which were employed vivo trial rats. Feeding Groningen rats supplementation strains, confirmed ability these microorganisms stimulate production highlighting their potential implication interactions.
