摘要: Abstract Manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4), as a high-resistance pigment, is successfully synthesized using calcined manganese ore and Fe2O3 prepared by mechanical milling calcination. The powders obtained were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), thermal analysis colour measurement. effect of the milling, composition ratio Mn: Fe, calcination temperatures on synthesis are examined thoroughly. stability MnFe2O4 evaluated observation its decomposition discolouration at various temperatures. phase with process start to form 800 °C, while without spinel can be 1000 °C. This finding highlight that existence reduce formation temperature MnFe2O4. In addition, full achieved Fe = 1 1000 °C, others resulting in unreacted Mn2O3 Fe2O3. Colour measurement shows sample produces darkest colour, presence leads an increase brightness colour. A treatment samples begin decompose 600 °C. It was suggested play crucial role resistance black pigment.
