摘要: Abstract Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are persistent organic pollutants that, due to their high toxicity, lipophilic property and widespread dispersal in the global environment, present a danger for human health ecological systems. Although inventory use of PCBs extensively reported worldwide, status Iran is still unknown. In this study, concentrations were determined environmental matrices five commercially important fish species from Larak coral Island, Persian Gulf, Iran, winter summer 2015. A positive correlation was found among levels congeners profiles seawater (0.97–3.10 ng L−1), surface sediments (2.95–7.95 ng g−1dw) samples (7.20–90.19 ng g−1dw), indicating as suitable bioindicator contamination. all matrices, contribution light medium chlorinated detected both seasons. fish, higher sexes seasons liver kidney than other tissues (skin, gonad, muscle) lipid content lipophilicity. More importantly, risks associated with consumption also evaluated, it that toxicity indices measured within World Health Organization (WHO) permissible limit food consumption. However, highly recommended inform local population about potential attributable dietary incorporation locally caught establish surveillance monitoring programme on region.
