摘要: Orientation of cortical microtubules (cMTs) is suggested to be affected by mechanical stress existing in cell walls. However, mutants exhibiting helical (chiral) growth, there a correlation between orientation cMTs outer tissues and growth direction. The aim this research was examine the effect chiral stimulation on cMTs. For purpose, investigated hypocotyls subjected either right- or left-handed twist, resulting from steady torque. were visualised fixed material using immunofluorescence method. untouched control mostly transverse with respect long axis. In immobilised, but not twisted hypocotyls, also most frequent, while applied twisting resulted change cMT oblique. data provide additional evidence that changes tissue can reorganized microtubules.
