HPV vaccination catch up program : Utilisation by young Australian women

摘要: Background The quadrivalent human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine provides protection against HPV types 6 and 11, 16 18. Australian Government's offer of free vaccination to women aged 18-26 years age through general practitioners ends 30 June 2009. Objective To determine the percentage attending Family Planning New South Wales (FPNSW) clinics 26 or less who were aware program had received a full course at least one injection. Method A questionnaire assess knowledge, attitudes, awareness utilisation catch up for GPs was given Ashfield, Newcastle Penrith FPNSW during May 2008 by clinic receptionist completion before seeing clinician. Results Two hundred ninety-four 15-26 (mean 21.7 2.8) completed out total 512 in that group visited clinic; response rate 57.4%.
