Configuration mixing in the interacting boson model

摘要: Abstract We present a new, general technique for providing quantitative description of configuration mixing in nuclei. The uses the Interacting Boson Model to make separate descriptions different configurations, which are then mixed using an appropriate hamiltonian. An example is given mercury isotopes.
