摘要: Aim. To evaluate the efficacy of bone repair using xenogeneic native collagen (Bongraf COLLAGEN) as compared to other widely applied orthopaedic solutions (xenogeneic mineral Geistlich Bio-Oss® and autograft). Materials Methods. We employed a conventional critical-sized (8 mm) rat calvarial defect model (48 Wistar or Sprague-Dawley rats). The artificial was repaired Bongraf COLLAGEN, utilised comparator, autograft, remained unfilled (n = 6 per group). Rats were euthanised 4 12 weeks postimplantation 3 time point) with subsequent examination (repair extent, volume, thickness density tissue) by means microcomputed tomography hematoxylin eosin staining. Results. Expectedly, highest tissue have been observed in defects filled autografts. COLLAGEN also demonstrated comparable significant capability, yet former option higher regeneration rate. Conclusion. Xenogeneic is (Geistlich Bio-Oss®).
