摘要: The combination of feedback and quantization causes special problems. (Each on its own has problems, like instability round-off errors.) main problem is the likely existence multiple equilibria limit cycles. Another possible coherence between input signal error or cycle, making indistinguishable from whatever characteristic we want to measure. In this paper conditions in which cycles occur are described, incoming signals, can lead spurious measurements, examined. Particular mention made fact that phase-locked loop (PLL) exhibits a non-linear phase-dependent relationship amplitude resultant phase quantization. A remedy for some these form design rule specifying desirable resolution at various points typical loop, described.
