摘要: An Arabidopsis peptide transport gene was cloned from an cDNA library by functionally complementing a yeast mutant. The plant transporter (AtPTR2) allowed growth of cells on dipeptides and tripeptides but not peptides four residues higher. also conferred sensitivity to number ethionine-containing, toxic chain length three or less restored the ability take up radiolabeled dileucine at levels similar that wild type. Dileucine uptake reduced addition variety growth-promoting peptides. sequence insert 2.8 kb indicated open reading frame encoding 610-amino acid polypeptide (67.5 kD). Hydropathy analysis predicted highly hydrophobic protein with potential transmembrane segments. At amino level, shows 24.6, 28.5, 45.2% identity nitrate-inducible nitrate (CHL1), rabbit small intestine oligopeptide (PepT1), (Ptr2p), respectively, little other proteins known be involved in transport. Root seedlings exposed ethionine-containing inhibited, certain shown compete expressing gene. Consistent observed inhibition root peptides, is expressed roots seedlings. This study represents characterization member new class related membrane proteins.
