摘要: A subset of melanopsin-expressing retinal ganglion cells has been identified to be directly photosensitive (pRGCs), modulating a range behavioral and physiological responses light. Recent expression studies melanopsin have provided compelling evidence that is the photopigment pRGCs. However, mechanism by which tranduces light information remains an open question. This review discusses signaling pathways may underlie melanopsin-dependent phototransduction in native pRGCs, as well many exciting challenges ahead.
