摘要: Advancement in computer-based product modeling and analysis tools now allows diverse disciplines to simulate performance the early stages of Architecture, Engineering Construction (AEC) projects. How-ever, capability this technology permit AEC professionals quickly create, represent rigorously analyze design options from perspective multiple has not been fully realized compared other industries such as Aerospace. This paper compares Multidisciplinary Design, Analysis (MDA) Optimization (MDO) processes aerospace based upon case data gathered on recent projects each industry. Case study re-sults are then generalized by industry highlight respective strengths limitations current practice support effective MDA MDO. Finally, appropriateness adapting methods devel-oped is discussed.
