Chip implementation of high-efficient light-emitting diode dimming driver for high-power light-emitting diode lighting system

摘要: This study presents a novel high-power light-emitting diode (LED) driver based on chip-level design. We propose multi-level current approach to LED dimming, rather than pulsed current. The driving can be controlled directly using digital interface, making it more user-friendly. An analysis of output impedance and demonstrates how the realised single chip. A prototype chip was designed second generation TSMC 0.25 μm high-voltage technology. area, including I/O pads power driver, is only 0.89 mm2. proposed able drive 60 W panel at maximum by regulating in 16 steps for dimming. Measurement results indicate that efficiency reaches 96% lighting 20% higher achieved pulsed-width modulation. Furthermore, reduce interference, improve efficiency, prolong lifespan devices.
