摘要: Summary The development of new classes molecular switches with enhanced performance and brand-new functionalities enables practitioners to push the frontiers adaptive biomimetic materials. past decade has witnessed emergence photo- chemically activated hydrazones as tools that can be used in addressing many challenges facing field machines. In this perspective, we walk through evolution these highlight unique dynamic and/or capabilities they bring forth, allowing access unprecedented opportunities. We focus on reaction cascades driven by show how inter-molecular communication advancing a systems chemistry approach solving field. As for photochemically hydrazones, their bistability multistate actuation polymers well kinetic trapping different self-assemblies liquid crystals, resulting an emergent phenomenon.
