摘要: A sizing composition that permits in-line chopping and drying of reinforcement fibers for reinforcing thermoset resins is provided. The size includes at least one coupling agent or more blocked polyurethane film forming agents. blocking preferably de-blocks a temperature simultaneous nearly de-blocking curing the former. sized fiber strands (12) may be chopped to form strand segments dried in fluidized bed oven, such as Cratec® oven (46), in-line. then used bulk molding compound molded into reinforced composite article. Chopping glass lowers manufacturing costs products produced from bundles (10). Further, because can much faster rate with inventive compared conventional off-line processes, productivity increased.
