Formation of retinoic acid from retinol in the kidney

摘要: Abstract Retinoic acid was formed in the kidney of vitamin A-deficient rats after administration a physiological dose retinyl acetate. It appeared before it could be detected blood plasma. also found greater proportion as acetate dosage decreased. These findings support hypothesis that retinoic may metabolically active form growth function A.
