摘要: A Cerenkov imaging system for charged particle radiography that determines the energy loss of beam passing through an object. This information provides additional detail on target densities when used with traditional radiographic techniques like photon or x-ray radiography. In this invention a probe 800 MeV to 50 GeV/c particles is passed object be imaged, magnetic spectrometer, silicon aerogel radiator where emitted light proportional their velocity. At same focal plane, scintillator produces output incident flux. Optical systems relay and CCD's other measurement equipment. ratio between formed, which directly line density each pixel measured. By rotating object, tomographic may performed. applying pulses beam, discrete time-step movies dynamic objects made.
