摘要: Sixty-two consecutively seen patients in whom a fracture about the hip was clinically suspected, but radiographic findings were negative, examined with both magnetic resonance imaging and bone-scanning. The resonance-imaging studies, consisting of T1-weighted coronal sections, done within twenty-four hours after admission to hospital, bone scans, seventy-two admission. There twenty-three men thirty-nine women. Thirty-six who had evidence on study also positive scan initially. Twenty-three negative finding corresponding scan. Two additional avascular necrosis femoral head image scan, they managed non-operatively. One patient A repeat which made six days later, for neck internal fixation. Magnetic as accurate bone-scanning assessment occult fractures hip. took less than fifteen minutes perform, it tolerated well by patient. provides an early diagnosis may decrease length stay hospital expediting definitive treatment.
