摘要: The application of a magnetic-field-fluctuation thermometer (MFFT) is described for practical thermometry in the low-temperature range. MFFT inductively measures magnetic noise generated by Johnson currents metallic temperature sensor. sensor deduced from its thermal spectrum applying Nyquist theorem, making principle linear over wide range temperatures. In this setup, niobium-based dc SQUID gradiometer detects field fluctuations. design optimizes inductive coupling to sensor, yet equally ensures sufficient insensitivity external interference. order obtain highly sensitive and fast thermometer, chip placed directly onto surface compact setup gradiometer/temperature unit good conditions equilibration with be measured, factor that becomes increasingly important below 1 K. first direct comparison measurements high-accuracy realization Provisional Low Temperature Scale 2000 (PLTS-2000) are presented. Special emphasis given investigation linearity, speed, accuracy MFFT.
