摘要: Sexual minority (lesbian, gay, and bisexual [LGB]) populations experience disparities in cigarette use, but sparse evidence exists about novel other alternative tobacco product use. In this study, we compared rates of risk perceptions, worldview between LGB heterosexual (HET) adults. An online survey administered 2014-2015, using a weighted probability sample 11,525 U.S. adults, assessed awareness products; ever current use e-cigarettes, cigars, little cigars cigarillos, hookahs; perceptions e-cigarettes; (individualism vs. communitarianism). Bivariate adjusted multivariable analyses were performed to determine differences HET groups. the analyses, adults 1.5 times more likely have used e-cigarettes (95% CI 1.2-1.9) 1.9 hookahs 1.5-2.4) as A lower percentage (16.7% 19.2%), believed that exposure vapors from was "harmful" reported they "did not know" any harm (35.1% 39.8%). 20% less than endorse an individualistic worldview. These results suggest disparity exists, whereby are hookahs. addition, although vapor contains nicotine chemicals, perceive secondhand harmful. Tailored campaigns interventions needed convey risks curb these products.
