摘要: Five patients with a branch retinal vein occlusion and chronic macular edema of at least one years' duration were treated by photocoagulation. Three these also had recurrent vitreous hemorrhages. Photocoagulation was applied to the quadrant supplied occluded vessel, avoiding foveal parafoveal areas. All areas surface neovascularization directly if sufficiently distant from fovea. Macular decreased in all patients. Vitreous hemorrhages did not recur three previous hemorrhage. Additionally, many venous channels caliber, abnormal vasculature showed marked decrease dye leakage. In some new collateral anastomosing vessels initially seen macula or on optic disc atrophied.
