摘要: Diabetic neuropathy is a serious complication of chronic hyperglycemia in diabetes patients. This can involve both peripheral sensorimotor and autonomic nervous system. The precise nature injury to the nerves mediated by unknown; however, several mechanisms have been proposed including polyol pathway activation, enhanced glycation proteins lipids, increased oxidative stress, cytokine release site injury. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that mediate RNA interference post-transcriptionally modulating gene expression protein synthesis. Therefore, they implicated developmental, physiological, pathophysiological processes where modulate different proteins. Recently, miRNAs gained an increasing attention also for their role as diagnostic test many diseases due stability serum easy detection. Furthermore, recent studies suggest may be involved diabetic although onset development this not fully understood. In review, we discuss most literature providing evidence opening new pathways improve early diagnosis treatment complication.
