摘要: We demonstrate the feasibility of a novel and nonionizing process for bladder imaging in vivo, called photoacoustic cystography (PAC). Using system, we have successfully imaged rat filled with clinically used Methylene Blue (MB) dye. An image contrast ~8 was achieved. Further, spectroscopic PAC confirmed accumulation MB bladder. laser pulse energy less than 1 mJ/cm2 (1/20 ANSI safety limit), deeply (1.2 cm) positioned biological tissues clearly visible PA image. Our results suggest that can potentially provide nonionizing, relatively cheap, portable tool mapping. Among our clinical interests, an injection monitor vesicoureteral reflux children.
