Effects of the diterpene sclareol glycol on convulsive seizures.

摘要: The effects of the diterpene sclareol glycol (SG) labdane family on convulsive seizures induced by pentylenetetrazole (PTZ), picrotoxin and bicuculline in mice were studied. Sclareol potentiated PTZ (60 80 mg/kg) antagonized anticonvulsant effect diazepam. At low doses, SG gave a protective against convulsions bicuculline, prolonged latency to convulsions. larger increased intensity seizures. Forskolin, same family, evoked latency.
