摘要: Techniques previously used to assess the quality of care in large institutions (cf. Raynes, Pratt, & Roses, 1979) were adapted for a similar study seven small community residences. Five areas assessed: daily management practices, physical environment, resident involvement, staff-to-resident speech, and staff attitudes. Interitem correlations within each scale generally high, validity comparisons between residences larger Raynes et al. (1979) showed that scores on measures superior group homes. These dimensions caretaking environment varied independently one another, clearly indicating need differentiated evaluation techniques.
