摘要: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small endogenous RNAs that regulate gene expression through post-transcriptional repression of their target messenger RNAs. A study changes in certain miRNAs the kidney has supplied evidence on pathogenic role and therapeutic potential nephrology. This review proposes a nanotechnology approach based binding analogs or inhibitors formed by peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) to peptides with transmembrane structure sensitive low pH, called pHLIPs (pH [low] insertion peptides). The draws concept an acidic pH microenvironment renal tubule may facilitate concentration distribution pHLIP-PNA complex this organ. In context, we have demonstrated for first time targeted administration miR-33 pHLIP system effectively prevents development fibrosis, thus opening up technology new strategies diagnosis treatment diseases.
