摘要: In breast cancer diagnosis, ultrasound examination provides useful additional diagnostic information. Moreover does not harm biological tissue and can be applied frequently. But conventional imaging methods lack both high spatial temporal resolution. Usually, the scanner is operated manually deformed while getting as close possible to regions of interest. Therefore, image contents quality depend strongly on operator. Exact measurement structures, like tumor size, possible. Instead a controlled linear transducer array, we use computer tomography (USCT) volume directly. A few thousand transducers are arranged in cylindrical array around tank containing object examined coupled by water. Every single small enough emit an almost spherical sound wave. While one transmitting, all others receive simultaneously. Afterwards different emits next pulse. For reconstruction every transmitted, scattered reflected signal used. This new method allows reproducible sequences with enhanced benefit more reconstructed 3D images per second, resolution may reduced offline. First tests our prototype ring-shaped geometry have even showed nylon threads (0.4 mm) superior clinical scanners.
