摘要: The front beam of vehicle body is the most important component for energy dissipation during frontal crash. It must dissipate kinetic in a stable, controlled and uniform crushing process. optimal design beam, always represented by simple thin shell prismatic column, keep into account various parameters such as column section, sheet thickness, material properties including strain rate effect. proposed work about analysis strain-rate effects on axial crush spot-welded columns having different geometric configurations. Materials are steels used automotive industry. Axial impact analysed speed range from 0.5 mm/s up to 10 m/s, with loads 100 kN. Measured evaluate influencing parameters, together absorption indicators. Strain-rate components then evaluated comparing influence examined previous works.
