摘要: Abstract Background Maternal infections are associated with maternal and foetal adverse outcomes. Nutrient supplementation during pregnancy may reduce the occurrence of by improving immunity. We aimed to investigate impact small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplement (SQ-LNS) on Plasmodium falciparum parasitaemia trichomoniasis, vaginal candidiasis urinary tract infection (UTI) after delivery. Methods Pregnant Malawian women enrolled in iLiNS-DYAD trial receiving daily SQ-LNS, multiple micronutrients (MMN) or iron & folic acid (IFA) from P. at 32 gw using rapid diagnostic testing (RDT), 36 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) delivery both RDT PCR; one week for trichomoniasis wet mount microscopy UTI urine dipstick analysis. The prevalence each intervention group was estimated prescribed time points global null hypothesis tested logistic regression. Adjusted analyses were performed preselected covariates. Results 10.7% gw, 9% 8.3% 20.2% PCR After 10.5%, 0.5%, 3.1%. There no differences between groups any infections. Conclusion In this population, SQ-LNS did not influence parasitaemia, UTI. Trial registration Identifier: NCT01239693 (10 November 2010).
