摘要: The sorption/desorption characteristics of heavy metals onto/from soil particle surfaces are the primary factors controlling success remediation heavy-metal contaminated soils. These pH-dependent, chemical-specific, and reversible; can be modified by enhancement agents such as chelates surfactants. In this study, batch experiments were conducted to evaluate feasibility using citric acid industrial wastewater (CAIW) desorb cadmium from a natural clay Shanghai, China at different mixture pHs. It observed results that proportion desorbed synthesized CAIW is generally satisfactory, i.e., >60%, when pH lower than 6. However, decreases significantly with increase in pH. dominant desorption mechanism complexion acetic CAIW. concluded promising agent for cadmium-contaminated soils environmental conditions favorable. As result, CAIW, waste product itself, put into productive use remediation.
