摘要: Circular and linear polarization Rayleigh Raman optical activity observables from chiral molecules on isotropic surfaces under resonance or preresonance conditions are predicted to be three orders of magnitude larger than those bulk media since the requirement for magnetic dipole electric quadrupole contributions is removed. Explicit expressions these presented simple case light scattered at an arbitrary angle in incident perpendicular surface with restricted a unique orientation relative normal but free rotation about plane surface. Similar non-linear effects second harmonic sum frequency generation hyper-Rayleigh hyper-Raman scattering discussed.
