摘要: To study the effect of needle bevel direction on incidence and severity headache following inadvertent dural puncture occurring during identification epidural space, authors randomly assigned obstetric anesthesia residents to identify space with oriented either parallel or perpendicular longitudinal fibers. If occurred, an observer unaware direction, daily assessed presence any subsequent headache. Of 1,558 women who received analgesia this study, 41 suffered puncture, 20 fibers 21 inserted (NS). Fourteen in group which was developed a moderate severe headache, whereas only five did so (P less than 0.005). Similarly, we administered therapeutic blood patch ten but four 0.05). Thus, identifying limits size tear and, therefore, lowers should perforation occur.
