Detection and Normalization of Blown-Out Illumination Areas in Grey-Scale Images

摘要: This work presents a novel approach for blown-out illumination detection and normalization in grey-scale images. situation takes place when the source of light is too close to object or has high specularity. The presented algorithm calculates image histogram exploits it further parameters calculation, which become base background algorithm, bright pixel range definition, finally wrong lighting normalization. Examples introduced performance are given.
