摘要: Abstract The atomic arrangement in certain ordered alloys, such as B2–Fe60Al40 determines intrinsic material properties for instance, the saturation magnetization. Here we have investigated influence of open-volume defects on ordering process at elevated temperatures Fe60Al40 thin films. A dependence type and concentration is observed by positron annihilation spectroscopy combined with ab-initio calculations. Comparing lifetimes positrons alloy different annealing irradiation treatments reveals role mono-vacancies, triple well large vacancy clusters: rate to B2 state increased presence mono-vacancies whereas complexes decrease rate. Furthermore, an agglomeration vacancies during di-vacancies larger clusters observed. distribution can be modified a way control thermal stability via ion-irradiation pre-treatments.
