摘要: Abstract Objectives. To discuss the rudiments of data that need to be collected in order develop validated reproducible, well-accepted efficacy instruments for assessing treatment outcomes urinary incontinence (UI). Methods. Information is presented from two reports issued by Urodynamics Society: "Definition and Classification Urinary Incontinence" "Standards Efficacy Evaluation Treatment Outcomes Incontinence." Results. Instruments assess should reliable valid. Such include structured histories, questionnaires, physical examinations, urodynamics, voiding diaries, pad tests. Recommended primary outcome variables number incontinent episodes, volume loss, type incontinence. Secondary measures patient satisfaction, quality life, bladder symptoms, uroflow, postvoid residual urine, other urodynamic variables. General considerations development clinical trials 1) using a standard lexicon, 2) consistent timing follow-up, 3) proper assessment at each 4) collection, 5) analysis, 6) formulating conclusions are supported data. Conclusions. At present time, there no validated, UI. Further work directed toward such warranted.
