摘要: A crucial factor in U.S. energy infrastructure development is the degree to which citizens that reside near a support or oppose project. While literature offers several explanations about what shapes individuals' perceptions of projects, few have considered importance cognitive heuristics and law contagion. Here, we employ survey experiment on nationally-representative sample 2,000 respondents test whether knowing resources connect high-voltage transmission line dictate for line. Results reveal information source electricity fundamentally important. If said carry from solar wind development, respondent significantly more likely instead natural gas coal plant, respectively, are less it. This study has implications messaging, public acceptance projects.
