摘要: There are several different causes of the deformities external auditory canal requiring reconstruction such as tumors, burns, trauma, and malformations. Many surgical approaches with varying success for (EAC) have been favored, including secondary healing, skin grafting, a variety local flaps. Unfortunately, major drawback previously defined techniques is resulting stenosis EAC. A 73-year-old white man was admitted to our clinic because an unhealing ulcerated lesion at superior posterior one third left canal, involving most internal part concha. Preserving helix, auricle EAC surgically removed en bloc. To reconstruct defect, snail flap designed on ipsilateral cervical region based posteriorly mastoid region. Twisting its main axis, mentioned, created final shape resembling tube epithelium-lined inside. At postoperative first-year visit, patient's endoscopic examination showed no sign recurrence, tympanoplasty graft intact, patent without signs stenosis. Our experience laterocervical supports fact that this does not cause stenosis, hearing loss, therefore should be concerned first choices treatment
