摘要: Background The aim of this study was to investigate whether carbon-ion beam irradiation in combination with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is superior alone targeting colorectal cancer stem-like cells (CSCs). Materials and Methods Human (CRC) cells, HCT116 HT29, were treated or 5-FU. Cell viability assay, colony spheroid formation apoptotic quantitative real-time PCR analysis apoptosis- autophagy-related gene expression performed. Results Carbon-ion dose-dependently decreased CRC cell showed significantly enhanced killing effect when combined 5-FU increased the percentage cells. some genes such as Bax, Bcl2, Beclin1 ATG7 induced by further forming capacity CD133+ subpopulations inhibited Histopathologically, destroyed more xenograft tumor resulted necrosis, cavitation, fibrosis, compared alone. Conclusion In conclusion, treatment has potential kill including CSCs inducing apoptosis autophagy.
